About this file

This document provides details for a site visit related to a federal construction contract opportunity. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is soliciting proposals for the construction of multiple high-water culvert crossings and associated site work at the Vamori Wash near the U.S./Mexico border in Arizona. Interested contractors are invited to attend an in-person site visit on June 8, 2021 to view the project location and ask questions. The site visit will include an orientation and guided walk of the project area. Safety precautions are outlined due to the remote location and hot weather conditions. The solicitation is designated as 100% small business set-aside and seeks firms capable of completing earthwork, culvert installation, fencing, erosion control, and other related construction tasks. Proposals are due by a date not specified in the document. The selected contractor will be awarded a firm-fixed-price contract for project completion.

Allow plenty of travel time and ensure safe driving practices. We will be walking on paved and unpaved, unimproved surfaces. Wear proper footwear. High temperatures could reach 100 degrees+. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat if possible, and sunscreen to reduce heat exposure. This area is also prone to sudden dust and/or rainstorms. Check the weather reports repeatedly prior to the site visit dates. Water bottles will be available as a backup, but it is highly recommended that all attendees come prepared with their own water containers.
