Solicitation Questions Working Document

Question 1:

Could you explain item 0002 as it shows to deliver any armored SUV that complies with the PWS but it doesn’t show the year model of this item? Also would other vehicle make and model apart than BMW X5 is accepted for this item?

Answer:

CLIN 0002 is distinct and separate from CLIN 0001 as it provides potential offerors the opportunity to provide a quote on a HAV other than the BMW specified in CLIN 0001. It allows the potential offerors to provide a quote on a BMW in CLIN 0001 and a different quote for a Non- BMW HAV in CLIN 0002. Each CLIN will be evaluated separately, taking into consideration that expedited delivery is highly desired and encouraged.

QUESTION 2:

Is a BMW X7 2021 accepted for this requirement which is exactly identical to the BMW X5 but it come with extended cargo space in the back? The BMW X7 manufactured in Germany but the armory body is up fitted in Canada which can be compatible with the specifications of EU countries.

Answer:

There should be no issue with proposing a BMW X7, and not a BMW X5, as long as the protection specifications are at least equal to those specified in the PWS.
