This amendment incorporates the following changes to the Request for Quotation (RFQ):
1. Response to questions submitted by interested vendors. See Question and Answer (Q&A) below.
2. Extend the quote due date from 10 July 2020 to 15 July 2020, 2:00 p.m. (local time, Rome, Italy).

4. To delete FAR Clause 52.217-8 Option to Extend Service (Nov 1999).
Question and Answer
1. Please confirm do you accept the 25 Ton Capacity Forklift manufactured in China?
Response: The lease of the 25 ton forklift for use in Europe made in China does not trigger any Berry Amendment or Buy American Act provisions. If determined that the equipment meets the requirement specs then the fact it is manufactured in China is of no consequence.
2. Please advise whether or not the following would be acceptable: Triplex Mast, Lifting Height, 4.50 meter, Free Lift 1.50 meter Response: The vendor shall submit a forklift in accordance with the characteristics stated in the Statement of Work.
The Government technical team will evaluate proposed forklift and will make a determination if it meets the requirement.
3. How many operationg hours per year do you anticipate? This is important for calculating the service intervals.
Response: Rough estimate is 1000 hours per year.
4. For how many years you would like to book fix? This is important to calculate the total costs.
Response: Initial commitment for 12 months with 4 option years. We intend to execute the option years after the base year but we can’t guarantee that this will be the case. Depends on mission requirements.
5. We have an identical inquiry for Germany. Is this the same project or a independent one?
Response: NO, this is separate. There is another requirement for Miesau/Germany.
6. We would like to know from you if a vehicle with the following characteristics is right:
Manufacture/Model: LINDE H250D Load-carrying capacity: 25,000 kg at 1,200 mm Lifting height mm. 5.000 Fork size mm. 2350X250X105 (see attached images) Length mm. 8.900 (with mounted forks) Width mm. 3.000 Height mm. 4.120 Air conditioning not installed.
Winter heating installed.
Lights: 2 front lights + 1 rear lighthouse , but it is possible to mount other supports when ordering.
Reverse alarm (acoustic signal when reversing) Flashing light Electronic joystick
Response: The vendor shall submit a forklift in accordance with the characteristics stated in the Statement of Work.
The Government technical team will evaluate proposed forklift and will make a determination if it meets the requirement.
7. To formulate a correct economic proposal we would need you to indicate us for how many operating hours per day the machine will be used. This information can be purely indicative or approximate.
Response: Rough estimate is 1000 hours per year.
