BASE CONTRACT ––Project E8-44013-4J Installation of Water Softener, Bldg. # 53, Del Din, Vicenza.
STATEMENT OF WORK
PART 1
GENERAL INFORMATION
1. GENERAL: This is a contract to install a Water Softener system into a new Pre-Fab.
Building near existing Water Plant, bldg. #53, Del Din site, Vicenza, Italy.
1.1 Description of Services/Introduction: This is a design building project to install a Water Softener system at the Water Plant bldg. #53 to lower the water hardness actually supplied by the city of Vicenza. The system shall be placed inside a pre-fab building.
1.2 Background: At Del Din site the water supply is granted by “Acque Vicentine s.p.a.”
In detail the water supplied is pumped from the wells located in “Via Lago di Como” and distributed through the circuit named “Laghetto-Polegge”. This water has a hardness of 31 French degrees according with “Acque Vicentine”. This hardness level is within the law limit, but actually is creating problems to the heat exchangers and we retain a next future that could also damage other equipment. For this reason, with this project we intend to soften the water bringing the actual level of 31 to 15 French degrees.
1.3 Objectives: Decrease the water hardness rate from the actual 31 to 15 French degrees.
1.4 Scope: Design and Construction
1.5 Period of Performance: The period of performance shall be as follows:
1.5.1 Design phase: Install a Water Softener system into a new Pre-Fab Building.
Performance period 30 calendar days from notice to proceed.
