ANSWERS TO REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
1) The gentleman at the meeting said it was not expected subcontracting for this solicitation, but in the tender solicitation is written that subcontracting is expected. It is planned subcontracting for this solicitation?
"Sub-contracting is allowed. However, the contractor or sub-contractor must possess the qualifications indicated at paragraph 4.1 of the Performance Work Statement".
2) I want to know if analysis monthly and weekly planned can be carried out by an external laboratory or if my company must have an internal laboratory to perform these analysis.
"It is Contractor's responsibility".
3) N/A
4) I read on page 40 of the solicitation (52.212‐1 clause) that the small size for a business concern which submits an offer in its own name, but proposes to furnish an item which it did not itself manufacture is 500 employees.
What does it mean? The company that participates in the competition must have at least 500 employees?
"It does not apply to Italian companies".
5) Now I am waiting to receive the base maps (as mentioned at the conference).
"Plants have been provided by amendment 0001. General maps of the installation will not be provided".
