Questions from Industry

1) Does the forklift require an operator? If so, are the operators trained to handle a 16k kg forklift? Is operator training required? No operator required.

2) Mast DUPLEX- lift 3,143mm. Does it have to be duplex or would a mast triplex also be acceptable? Either Duplex or Triplex mast would be acceptable.

3) The height of the retracted mast is 2121mm. Is this mandatory, as 16k kg forklifts often have a retracted height of over 3000mm. This is not industry standard. Please clarify the retracted mast height. The retracted mast height is not a concern.

4) 1200mm tines is unusual for a 16k kg forklift? Would longer tines be acceptable? Longer tines would be acceptable but need to fit underneath a wooden pallet.

5) Can you report the operating hours regularly (monthly based) to the contractor to carry out preventive maintenance on time? Yes.

6) What do you mean by “Towing operational performance 6-8 hours”? Does this mean the daily operating hours? Must be capable of performing 6-8 hours.

7) Is the forklift used in two shifts (16h) or only one shift (8h)? The forklift will be used in one 8-hour shift.

8) Are the operators trained to handle a 16k kg forklift? Is operator training required? No operator required.

9) Equipment specifications are referencing a standard 16-ton counterbalance forklift. No telescopic requirement. Please confirm. Not required.
