RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS
Following are the Response(s) to the Additional Question(s) received regarding RFQ W912PA- 19-Q-0018:
QUESTION: Whose responsibility will be the cabling between the generator sets, control panels, switchboards, mains and auxiliaries?
RESPONSE: The Contractor will not be responsible for the cabling between the generators sets, control panels, switchboards, mains and auxiliaries
QUESTION: Since 50/60 Hz is the requirement, shall the gensets be interchangeable to apply for both frequencies?
RESPONSE: 50Hz is sufficient. There is no need for the gensets to be interchangeable or apply for both frequencies.
QUESTION: Do the generators need to be open type or enclosed/canopied?
RESPONSE: The Generators shall be enclosed.
QUESTION: KIWA certification applies only for external fuel tanks and not for integrated fuel tanks inside the gen set base frame. Could you please look upon it?
RESPONSE: If the fuel tank is included and NOT separate, “kiwa’ certification will not be needed. If the fuel tank is not included and IS separate, kiwa certification is required by our environmental division.

RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS
Following are the Reponses to the Questions received regarding RFQ W912PA-19-Q-0018:
QUESTION: The Delivery date is stated as 30-DEC-2019 on page 5. However, page 47 states:
"Training may be scheduled during the month of September-October since most employees could be on summer leave." Please confirm the expected delivery and training dates or months due to the large gap between December and the following October.
RESPONSE: The Delivery Date remains 30 Dec 2019. Training date(s will be coordinated and scheduled with the USAG Benelux – Brunssum Site Representative after award of contract.
QUESTION: Is automatic transfer switch required?
RESPONSE: Yes, automatic transfer switch (net-wachter) shall be included in the total package.
QUESTION: About the placement of the new units: are they intended to be placed on tiles? Our engineer is worried that tiles are not a stable enough basis, as generators are usually placed on concrete due to vibrations and due to tiles being too fragile for the purpose.
RESPONSE: Placement of the new units will be on a concrete slab.
QUESTION: In relation to Question above about placement, would any ground works be required?
RESPONSE: No groundwork is required and IS NOT part of this requirement
QUESTION: Does the generator need to be 50/60Hz interchangeable or just 50Hz units are acceptable?
RESPONSE: 50Hz is sufficient. 50/60 Hz is the requirement
QUESTION: Will the ATS (Mains and Generator breaker) be supplied by others or by us?
RESPONSE: The ATS must be included in the switch box, which is part of the complete generator set provided by the contractor.
QUESTION: Is a principle scheme of the required ATS available?
RESPONSE: No. The ATS needs to “watch” if the power from the local power distribution system is present or not. When the power drops or is not present the ATS will be activated starting the generator and will switch the power connection.
QUESTION: Will the controlling of the ATS be delivered by others (with a start/stop signal to the gen set) or by us?
RESPONSE: Start/Stop generator set must be delivered and included by the contractor.
QUESTION: Needs the switch over, on return of the mains, be with or without synchronization?
RESPONSE: With synchronization. The generator will be running for a few seconds/minutes before restoring mains connection.
