About this file

This document provides responses to bidder inquiries regarding a federal contract solicitation for the Crains Island Habitat Restoration and Enhancement Project (HREP) Side Channel Expansion (Stage II). The solicitation requires contractors to perform work including excavation and placement of earthen fill material to expand existing side channels. Quantities listed in the original solicitation were corrected via amendment for items including 25 acres of land clearing and grubbing and placement of fill material measured in tons. The amendment also clarifies that contractors are responsible for obtaining necessary permits for water discharge and dewatering activities and provides boring logs of site soil conditions. Equitable price and time adjustments are available for variations in item quantities outside of 15 percent above or below estimates. Contractors should submit bids using the schedule provided in the solicitation.
