QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Q & A

Q: Does the bid need to include a full plan set or just a preliminary design?

A: A full set of plans is required

Q: Does it need to be 3 phase or single phase? I believe everything in the building is single phase, but I would like to verify this.

A: 3 phase

Q: If the roof doesn't fit a 39kW how much smaller of an array is acceptable or will there be an area to install a ground mount?

A: Contractor should maximize using the space available on the southern portion of the roof and provide the largest kW system possible for the provided area. Panels cannot be ground mounted due to flooding.

Q: Can the electrical be subbed out to a master electrician? We have a preferred company we typically sub the electrical to.

A: Electrical can be subbed

Q: Is there a preference in brand for equipment?

A: No preference on brand as long as equipment supplied and installed meets or exceeds requirements in the

SOW

Q: What was the incumbent amount for the previous contract holder?

A: This is a new requirement.

Q: Is there a setback for the roof? Some places require 3' setbacks on eaves and rakes. I looked through the documents and don't see anything, although I could have overlooked it.

A: A 36-inch pathway must be available spanning from the bottom roof edge to the ridge and a 36-inch setback on both sides of ridge.

Q: Do you know if there needs to be a setback?

A: A 36-inch pathway must be available spanning from the bottom roof edge to the ridge and a 36-inch setback on both sides of ridge.

Q: The high bill/low bill attachment does not seem to be working... are you able to reupload it for viewing?

A: Attached

Q: Do you have requirements for setbacks on the roof?

A: A 36-inch pathway must be available spanning from the bottom roof edge to the ridge and a 36-inch setback on both sides of ridge.

Q: Where do we submit our bid for this solar project contract?

A: Proposals should be emailed: Elena.C.Coleman@usace.army.mil

Q: Do we email our docs to you or is there some sort of portal we upload to?

A: Proposals should be emailed: Elena.C.Coleman@usace.army.mil

Q: Are there any other electrical service details you can provide other than it being 3 phase? ie. Transformer kVA rating, service voltage, main service amperage?

A: Transformer 45 KVA, service voltage 480 3 phase, main panel 150-amp 3 phase
