Lithia Springs Wastewater Treatment Facility Rehab Site Visit Question 1: Supply nameplate and pump information Answer: The existing pumps are made by Fairbank Morse. The serial number on one of the electric motors is T3X2438080-00. Photo Attached.

Question 2: No Floats?

Answer: To control the spray field a rainbird timer is used to tell the MCC panel to turn on the motors and for how long. This rainbird timer is located inside of the operator building. The As-Built drawings show a low water emergency shutoff float to protect the pumps.

Question 3: Depth and measurements of the wet well.

Answer: The measurement from the cover grate to the motor access grate is approximately 5’6”. The distance from the motor access grate to the bottom of the wet well is approximately 20.

Question 4: Why Single-Phase motors instead of 3 Phase.

Answer: We are unsure of the decision of the original design and construction of the facility to use single phase motors. The project office is planning on continuing with replacement of the equipment as specified in the contract specifications.

Administrative Corrections:

1. Sec 1.8 Location. Should say “Lithia Springs” and not Opossum Creek. This was a typo.

2. Sec 2.1.5.5 regarding the wet well disconnect stand. The stand should be replaced with a low maintenance metal stand and components made from galvanized pipe, unistrut and other industry acceptable materials. Wood shall not be used.

3. See corrected wiring diagram attachment.
