Question:
Will there be a schedule provided?
Answer:
A schedule will be provided prior to the start of each month. As our recreation starts up and closes down, not all parks and recreation areas are open at the same time. As areas open/begin closing, not all of the lift stations will need to be checked each rotation. Some rotations may only involve checking mission important lift stations. Line item prices and total budget will also affect inspections.
Question:
Could we get a site map with all the lift stations?
Answer:
Because of the size of the lake project, there is not a map of all of the lift stations. A map of this size would not be detailed enough to show exact locations. Area maps with locations may be provided at the Lake Shelbyville Project Office. A lake map with recreation areas can be found on the USACE Lake Shelbyville website.
Question:
What is the age of the lift stations and does the corps have operating manuals on all the stations?
Answer:
The age of the lift stations vary greatly across the project, with periodic updates and replacements happening. The oldest lift stations were installed around the late 1970’s/early 1980’s. No, we do not have operation manuals for all of these lift stations.
Question:
Who cuts the grass at the lagoons and spray fields?
Answer:
Grass is maintained by a different contractor that mows grass at several recreation areas. The contractor for this contract is not responsible for mowing the grass at the lagoons and spray fields, but will have to coordinate the spray schedule with the COR so that the mowing contractors have access to mow.
Question:
Am I going to be required to pay the fringe benefits listed on page 10 to my employees?
Answer:
The wage rate determination states that the benefits listed will be provided to the occupations listed. If you have further questions, you can contact the Department of Labor.
Question:
Do I have to send 2 copies of the entire document or just certain pages?
Answer:
You should provide the entire document or at least include each page that has any type of fill-in that you were required to fill in for the quotation submission. 1 copy will suffice for email.
Question:
Can I sign the document and email it to you or do I have to mail it?
Answer:
Emailing is an acceptable method of submission.
Please email quotes to Kelsey.M.Daniels@usace.army.mil
Question:
What does the mention of #8 Security (13) of the PWS mean?
Answer:
In the solicitation, page 9 of 59 is where the Security section is listed in the Performance Work Statement. We wanted to point that out to make sure the quoters read the requirements there and that it was noted that this should be included in your work and is not a separate cost.
CLARIFICATIONS:
Please fill out the prices for ALL THREE (3) YEARS.
There are places to fill on the cover page and the solicitation (Form SF1449).
