About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) related to the Crescent City FY24 Dredging Project. The RFI addresses several questions, including confirming that the contractor will be required to transport and dispose of rock greater than 4 inches at an authorized landfill, and that the project is anticipated to be completed using a pipeline hydraulic dredge. The USACE has provided material characterization documents, which indicate that rocks larger than 4 inches shall be screened out of the dredged material and not placed at the Whaler Island Nearshore Site. The contractor will be responsible for the disposal of debris and rocks not suitable for placement at the Nearshore Site.

The related federal contract opportunity is for the Crescent City Harbor FY24 Maintenance Dredging, a Small Business Set-Aside Invitation for Bid (IFB) with an estimated cost range between $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. The work includes maintenance dredging of the Inner Harbor Basin, Marina Access channels, and Entrance Channel, with the dredged material to be transported per the specifications. Bids are due on August 8th, 2024 at 12:00 PM PDT, with a public bid opening via WebEx at 1:00 PM PDT on the same day.
