About this file
This document outlines an upcoming federal contract opportunity for construction services at Cheatham Lock and Dam. The Nashville District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to issue an Invitation for Bid for a firm fixed-price construction contract to build a concrete storage pad at Cheatham Dam in Ashland City, Tennessee. The pad will house six stoplogs used at the lock when not in use, and accommodate a pedestrian bridge provided under separate contracts. The base work includes removing an asphalt slab, culvert, and tree before installing a 125-foot by 50-foot by 1-foot-deep reinforced concrete slab with steel lateral supports for the stoplogs. Additional work comprises installing drainage, earthwork, reseeding, and relocating a grounding mat and terminals. Optional work includes milling and paving asphalt, additional earthwork, tree removal, fencing, a smaller slab, curbing, and drainage improvements. The estimated value is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The solicitation is anticipated for release on June 7, 2022 under NAICS code 238110 with a 100% small business set-aside.
