About this file
This file is a Questions and Answers amendment to a solicitation for the procurement of one laser engraver by the Minnesota Army National Guard. The amendment addresses three key inquiries from potential vendors regarding delivery timelines, equipment specifications, and logistical responsibilities. Specifically, the government confirmed that a 4-6 week delivery lead time is acceptable, though delivery should align with standard industry practice and is not a factor in award determination. Regarding technical specifications, the government clarified that the CO2 laser must have a minimum capacity of 120W while the Mopa fiber laser must have a minimum capacity of 100W. For delivery logistics, the government specified that government personnel will be responsible for offloading the laser at the delivery location (Camp Ripley Training Center in Little Falls, Minnesota) and transferring it to its final destination, with delivery to be made on an FOB Destination basis.
The underlying solicitation (W912LM26QA025) is a 100% Total Small Business Set Aside requesting quotes for a single laser engraver unit with detailed requirements specified in the associated Statement of Work. The solicitation is administered by the Department of the Army Minnesota Army National Guard in accordance with RFO 12.201 and represents the only solicitation for this requirement. Vendor questions were due seven days prior to the solicitation close date.

Laser Engraver Amendment 01
Q1. Would a 4–6 week delivery lead time be acceptable under this requirement, provided delivery, setup, and training are completed in accordance with the solicitation requirements?
A1. 4-6 week delivery is acceptable. The delivery schedule is not a factor for award; however, the delivery timeframe should meet that of standard industry practice.
Q2. In the scope of work it mentioned a 100w capacity lazer, I was just curious if that implied to the co2 or the mopa fiber lazer or both needed to be a minimum of 100w?
A2. CO2 is 120W and Mopa fiber is 100W
Q3. Second question was about the delivery, when getting delivered who is responsible for unloading the lazer and bringing it to where it will be permanently?
A3. Government personnel will offload the laser at the delivery location and then transfer the laser to its final destination.
