NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

ADDENDUM 1

DATE: 22 Aug 2022

PROJECT TITLE & NUMBER:Concrete & Electrical
W912LM-22-R-1010 PN: QJKL222004

1. This amendment is being issued to answer questions that were submitted.

Q1. For bidding purposes, what should we figure for a start date for the work? There are longer lead times anticipated on the Light Poles. With the 90-day completion requirement, should we anticipate a fall start and winter conditions? Or would it be acceptable (and an extension to the 90 days granted) to perform all possible work this fall and come back in the spring to install the Light Poles?

A1. Assuming award by 30 September and begin the submittal process shortly after. Work is expected to start before winter conditions are present but we will put a pause on the period of performance timeline for a winter exclusionary period until weather is appropriate again for the work being done. The proposed solution to phase the project as you mentioned is acceptable.

Q2. For the Test Cell Power Supply Installation: It appeared to us during the site walk that the existing conduit and conductors may all be in good condition and sufficient for the intended use. Do you want us to include in our proposal an alternate price to utilize the existing conduit and wire?

A2. Please see amended SOW following site visit. We would need to feed the power supply from a different panel (480V) which would make the wire requirement smaller. The base will take care of pulling all the existing wire to the connection point, but please provide an alternate price to utilize existing conduit and another for directional boring as discussed at the site visit.

This amendment must be acknowledged when submitting your proposal.
