1. Does the government require the contractor to have the ability to offer a migration to a FedRAMP authorized solution via contract modification with an issued package ID posted on the FedRAMP marketplace that meets the NIST 800-53 rev 5 standards for cloud security on both the web-postage solution and the shipping capability on the physical mail machine at time of offer submission (this can be verified by government going onto the FedRAMP marketplace and searching for the vendor)?

ANSWER: The contractor is not required to provide a FedRAMP authorized solution at time of offer submission.

2. Does the government require this physical postage meter to have the capability to weigh mail as it travels through the machine to apply the correct postage thereby allowing processing of mixed weight mail?

ANSWER: Yes

3. Does the government require this physical postage meter to be able to automatically feed through the machine mail up to 5/8” thick and have a minimum processing speed of 145 letters per minute (LPM) without capability of weighing the mail?

4. Does the government require that the physical mail machine and web postage solution utilize the same accounting solution to maximize efficiency in expenditure reporting?

ANSWER: The government prefers the same accounting solution for both the physical mail machine and web postage solution but it is not a requirement just as long as the vendor can still provide accurate reporting.

5. Does the government require the ability to process and track USPS, UPS, and FedEx on the physical mail machine itself while supporting government contractual rates without the need for an external government provided workstation?

6. Would the government please extend the due date for responses to allow for three business days after the clarifying questions are answered?

ANSWER: The solicitation is extended to 16 June 2023.
