3. Question: We understand the changes made to the drawing general notes (C8.1, C8.3-C8.5) stating that “All existing striping shall be pressure washed ….NO water basting shall be allowed on asphalt surfaces.” However, Add Alter Specifications (Pavement Markings), Section 3.1.2 Cleaning Existing Pavement Markings states to remove all existing pavement markings AND Sections 1.3.5.2 & 1.3.6 indicate that water blasting equipment is used. Is ANY water blasting of existing taxiway pavement markings (on concrete) required on this project?

3. Answer: There is to be no blasting anywhere. The intent is to pressure wash/clean the existing area to remove dirt/grime/flakes and not to completely remove paint. A water blaster may be used for convenience only if the pressure can be reduced to meet the above intent but is not required.

4. Question: B-124 Ceramic Tile Size. Per PWS Section 5.12.6, Crossville Shades Collection ceramic tiles are to be used. What size tiles are required?

4. Answer: 12"x12"

5. Question: Is the Cove Base to be rubber or ceramic tile?

5. Answer: Rubber.
