1.3 Section states we are to quote on quarterly, semi-annual and annual servicing as listed in section 2.0. However, section 2.0 only requests a quantity of 4 or quarter unit. Annual services are substantially more expensive than quarterly services. How is this to be quoted? Should the same quote format be used for items 1001 through 4010?
Answer: Please use quarterly amounts when bidding.
2.1 Section has ten different pieces of equipment that require service. Under each piece, specific items are listed that are to be addressed. The listed items often do not reflect the total number of items that are needed to properly perform maintenance on that equipment per O.E.M. specifications. Are we to include these additional items in our quote, and if so, in what format?
Answer: The decision has been made to leave the SOW, Scope 2.0 para 2.1 is to leave the service currently as it is. Our compressors require the maintenance exactly as it is stated in the SOW.
2.1 Section, the third sentence states, "Maintain and perform the following quarterly, semi-annual and annual services to include parts and labor of scheduled maintenance to include unscheduled maintenance visits". Could we get a clarification as to the meaning of this statement.
Answer: Please disregard the “unscheduled maintenance visits.” Unscheduled maintenance (emergency repair calls) will not be included on the contract. The contract will only cover preventative maintenance.
We have a standard format we use to quote our customers on servicing equipment of this nature. I could supply this format if needed and/or acceptable.
Answer: You can submit it, but in order for us to accurately compare competitive quotes, they need to be comparable, i.e. (apples to apples). If all vendors stick to the format of the solicitation, we can accurately compare quotes.
