1 May spoils be dumped somewhere on the Base or must they be taken offsite? No, they must be taken off site.

2 Is there any topsoil or fill on the Base that may be used for this project? No.

3 Is it known if the block walls are filled solid with rebar? We did the interior demo job at the bldg 335. At that building the block walls were filled solid with rebar.

It is not known whether or not the walls are solid grouted with rebar.

Is the MEP Demo on the Select Demo Contractor? In other select demo jobs we have done the MEP was done by those contractors. We can qualify it or exclude

it. Just wanted to clarify.

This project is a single prime contract. How the general contractor elects to break up the work is up to them.

5 Reference specification section 28 16 00 Intrusion Detection and Access Control, Paragraph 2.02. The base has an existing, USAF‐approved Advantor IDS annunciator in the SFS BDOC that is currently used to monitor and manage all IDS and non‐SCIF Access Control on base. This specification section indicates that a new head end system is required for the Building 345 project. Is the intention to install a separate head end IDS annunciator for just this building, or is the expectation that the existing Advantor IDS annunciator will be used to monitor the IDS for this building?

Provide headend equipment in building B345 for system provided. Building B345 shall be monitored at BDOC, Contractor to provide required monitoring equipment at BDOC (exact equipment requirements shall be coordinated with Government personnel), should system not be compatible with existing monitoring equipment.

Are we to start at a flanged outlet left by others in the Mechanical / Electric Room 131?

This project is a single prime contract. How the general contractor elects to break up the work is up to them.

7 Does this project require seismic bracing on sprinkler pipe?

Seismic bracing is not required for the project; seismic design category B.

Sprinkler specs include painting of exposed pipe – typically this is not in our scope of work – please advise?

This project is a single prime contract. How the general contractor elects to break up the work is up to them.

Sprinkler Specs also list In‐Rack Sprinklers, but I do not see anything on the FP drawings showing where they are to be installed. I also do not see any rack systems in the architectural drawings. Please advise? In rack sprinklers are not required for the project.

Sprinkler Specs also indicate that we need to furnish and install all electrical wiring conduit – this is typically done by other trades? Please advise.

This project is a single prime contract. How the general contractor elects to break up the work is up to them.

11 Are extended coverage sprinkler heads acceptable if hydraulic calculations prove they work?

The use of extended coverage sprinklers is not permitted.

(UFC 3‐600‐01)

12 What is the proposed construction schedule? The Government prefers Critical Path Method.

Are flexible connections acceptable? (for the sprinklers)

The use of flexible sprinkler hose with fittings intended for direct connection to sprinklers is not permitted. (UFC 3‐ 600‐01)

We need to ask a question about the IDS/ACS layout on sheet E103 vs. the IDS/ACS riser diagram on sheet E603 – they don’t match at all. There are devices on the layout that don’t make operational sense – the system can’t work as depicted. The riser doesn’t show these devices, but also doesn’t show devices which should be there, so it doesn’t make sense either – can’t work as depicted. Bottom line is that neither drawing is correct. Please advise. Additional information needed from vendor to answer

15 Regarding the Civil Drawings, there are no new contours for the new mounds, there are proposed high points but no elevations, please advise.

Finished grading generally follows existing surface grades.

High points are labelled to show drainage to existing inlets.

Mounds are defined by the details on C503. Details provide mound heights and general slopes. Top of mounds to be set based on surrounding grade.

Regarding Flooring:ID‐100 ‘MISCELLANEOUS NOTES’: #3 is repeated with conflicting information, assigning the same code to different products.

Baseboards: #3A. WB‐1 Johnsonite #30 Ink #3B. WB‐1 Johnsonite #29 Moonrock What product is being used? If both….. what areas for each?

#3A CT‐1 Daltile Veranda Solids “Base color to continue floor color per floor pattern plan” #3B CT‐1 Daltile Imagica

‘Cove base / cove base corner in universal blend’

What product is being used?

If Veranda Solids IS in the project, I cannot find the detail of a 'floor pattern plan’. What areas will the pattern be located?

Drawings have been updated to correct duplicate/confusing descriptions, please refer to page

ID100.

Regarding Flooring: FLOOR FINISH KEY CT‐1 Daltile Imagica (another CT‐1)

‘8”, 4”, 6” x 48” in unpolished, random universal blend…”

As per Dal ‐ Universal Blend is only available in a 4” accent strip, NOT base, corners, or 48” combos

Would you like for me to do the take‐off based on a 33% ratio and blend the tiles in the field?

‐With the same holding true for the cove and corners…..

Drawings have been updated to correct duplicate/confusing descriptions, refer to page ID100.

Access flooring is shown in the elevations listed. Carpet is to be installed on the access panels.

22 Do you have a planholders list for the Horsham AGS BLDG 345 renovations the government does not maintain a planholders list

Recent similar building retrofits utilize Automated Logic controllers, should the new Building Automation System for Building 345 be similar in functionality with future seamless compatibility for campus wide integration to the WebCTRL system?

The BAS is not required to operate as an integrated campus wide system. The use of WebCTRL is acceptable for the project.

The existing Building Automation System provides unlimited simultaneous user access, should the new system provide the same? If not unlimited, what is the required number of simultaneous users?

There is no specific requirement regarding the minimum number of simultaneous users required.

Please confirm minimum trend storage includes every input and output in the system at 5 minute intervals for no less than 2 years.

There is no specific requirement regarding the minimum trend storage. The storage indicated in the RFI is acceptable for the project.
