About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document dated February 3, 2026, addressing clarifications on a meal service solicitation for Service Members. The document confirms that no additional questions will be accepted and provides five substantive answers to previously submitted inquiries.

Key clarifications include: headcount projections of 170 Service Members for March transitioning to approximately 100 headcounts starting in April; beverage specifications for "Assorted Fruit Drinks" limited to fruit punch, Powerade, or Gatorade (with variety rotated daily and water provided at each meal, while breakfast beverages are restricted to Powerade, Gatorade, water, and coffee with no juice); protein preparation requirements mandating chicken as the primary protein plated separately to prevent cross-contamination for the 80% of Service Members requiring non-protein contaminated food, with accommodations for vegetarian and dietary restrictions; and grilled steak specifications indicating that steak is not required, but if included must be served separately, while ground beef meat sauces (such as spaghetti) may be offered alongside basic pasta alternatives like fettuccini or pesto to accommodate dietary needs.

Questions & Answers as of 20260203

No more Questions will be taken at this time. Work with what you already have.

Thank you!

1. In reference to the document, Questions Answers 20260129-Revised.pdf, Question 5:

Can you please clarify how the grid should be formatted to properly submit our quote? Ans. This question was answered already. See Previous Q&A.

2. The reference to Questions Answers 20260129-Revised.pdf, Question 6: The answer states “A: Each meal will have 170 headcounts until CLASS 008. Class 008-011 will have about 100 headcounts." However, the document, NGRF SOW reviewed- 6 courses -

Revised 20260129.pdf, still states headcounts of 140. Can you clarify which one it is?

Ans. For the month of MARCH, we are projecting 170 HC.

Ans. Starting April, we will look to balance the HC to around 100.

3. For "Assorted Fruit Drink" on the Dinner menus, does lemonade work? What are the examples that you are looking for? I know the Q&A document mentioned electrolyte mixed drink. Can you please clarify what examples you are looking for?

Ans. Assorted Fruit Drinks preferred would be fruit punch, Power Ade, or Gatorade. Can we mix the variety day by day? Maybe 2 flavors with water each meal. For breakfast, I would like to keep this simple; NO JUICE, Just Powerade and Gatorade, Water, Coffee

4. In reference to the Q&A document, it states: "Protein should always be chicken; we have a lot of Service Members that do not eat Pork. Requesting that the Protein be plated in a separate container to support 80% of the Service Members. 20% will have non-protein contaminated food." However, the menus on the solicitation have other proteins included, can you please clarify this?

Ans. We cannot guarantee the favors of protein. We will just play it safe with Chicken and place it on the side. This will mitigate any cross contamination of vegetarian or regular dietary restrictions

5. For "Grilled Steak" is there a certain cut of steak you are looking for?

Ans. Grilled Steak is not a necessity. If the meal requires it, we still need to ensure that it is on the side. For meals that require meat sauce with ground beef (possibly spaghetti), that would be fine but we have to be sure to include a basic pasta dish like (i.e. – fettucini or pesto).
