About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for the Aircraft Towing Tractor solicitation (W912JM26QA016) issued by the Department of the Army Georgia Army National Guard. The document clarifies technical specifications and requirements for an aircraft towing tractor designed to push and pull UH-72 Lakota and UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters.

Key technical clarifications include: no cab is required on the tractor; a 15-ton pintle hook hitch with front grille-guard and welded steel receiver is specified, with the receiver attachable to either the frame or grille-guard; a JP8-compatible Tier III diesel engine is required; hydrostatic transmission is mandatory and equivalent GM transmissions are not acceptable; non-regen diesel engines are acceptable; and all-electric vehicles are not acceptable. The document references an attached image (image1.jpeg) showing the front grille-guard with welded steel receiver and pintle hook hitch configuration. Specific size requirements and delivery dates are referenced in the main solicitation document rather than in this Q&A document.
