QUESTION AND ANSWER

QUESTION AND ANSWER

Q1.) Sect. 3.0 (pg. 4) Performance of Work Statement‐: “Contractor will ensure that kiosk materials and installation meets all applicable regulations at each Mall in order to achieve the objectives contained in the PWS” Q) Are these regulations available collectively or should each mall be contacted separately?

A1.) Regulations will need to be sought separately from each mall.

Q2.) Sect. 4.0 (pg. 4) APPLICABLE REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS: “Mall permitting requirements, and Mall regulation and procedures regarding assembly and installation at each Mall for the Kiosks” Q) Similar to the above, are these requirements and regulations available collectively or should each mall be contacted separately?

A2.) Regulations will need to be sought separately from each mall.

Q3.) Sect. 4.0 (pg. 4) MALL LOCATIONS: Q) Per amendment 0001, the number of kiosks has been revised from five

(5) to three (3). What are the three (3) remaining mall locations?

A3.) See paragraph 5.0 of the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

Q4.) Sect. 6.0 (pg. 5) Toe Kicks: “Toe kicks must be made of hard, durable metal, which is also water resistant.

Finishes for toe kicks are: Metal” Q) Are toe kicks necessary? We typically fabricate metal structures for ease of installation at remote sites. These structures are generally mounted at 4 (or more) points for ease of levelling and installation. This method allows for single module installation making this type of design cost effective and relocatable if required. However, a toe kick is not typically existing (but can be added if reqd.)

A4.) Toe kicks are required if the mall requires them. If toe kicks are not required by the mall, they can be left out of the design of the kiosks.

Q5.) Sect. 6.0 (pg. 5) SIGNAGE: “‐Signs must be illuminated and must be 3‐dimensional. Illumination must be internal‐ With the exception of the main sign, no signage will be allowed above 4 foot 6 inches (54 inches). The main sign be 8’ x 40” (2ea.) and a 2’ x 40” (2ea) on each side view, 4” X 40” on each front view (2 ea.) (as per drawings. Side view sign and front view signs are labeled)” “Maximum letter height is limited to 1 foot (12 inches) for capital letters and 8 inches for lowercase letters”.

Q 5.1) Does “3‐dimensional” refer to actual 3‐dimensional lettering, or 3‐dimensional looking graphics within the “Marketing Area”? Ask CDR Q5.2) Does “4’ x 40” indicate the required text height in the “marketing Image” graphics, or actual 3‐dimensional letters?

A5.1) “3‐dimensional” does refer to actual 3‐dimensional lettering A5.2) “4’ x 40” indicates the “marketing Image” graphics area

Q6.) Sect. 6.0 (pg. 7) KIOSK MONITORS: “‐Monitors may not be higher than 48 inches above the mall floor and no greater than 30 inches diagonal (maximum of 2 monitors).” Q) referring to side view located on page 9, is it correct to understand “48 inches” is the bottom of the monitor? If so what is the overall height limitation of the kiosk? We expect that these requirements will be defined within the regulations referenced in questions no. 1 and 2.

A6.) Requirements will be defined within the regulations referenced in questions no. 1 and 2.

W912J3-16-T-0019

Q7.) Sect. 6.0 (pg. 8) Top View “Four (4) lights shown in red” Q) Similar to the above, we understand that lights are required above the monitors in order to illuminate the counter tops. If so what is the kiosks maximum allowable height?

A7.) Requirements will be defined within the regulations referenced in questions no. 1 and 2.
