Statement of Work (SOW)

For

XGFG 162024 – Repair B710/711 Dehumidification

MODIFICATION #1

PROJECT: XGFG 162024

The Government has a requirement to repair the dehumidification system in buildings 710 and 711 at Truax Field, Madison Wisconsin by using a waterproofing crystallization system and in-line duct fan upgrades to the existing dehumidifier as specified herein. The contractor shall be restricted from free movement throughout the interior and exterior of the building and must keep employees and operations within the designated area(s).

Buildings 710 and 711 are earth covered munitions storage igloos. Igloos currently have an impermeable membrane on outside of concrete (under soil), but require additional concrete treatment to reduce moisture inside the facility. Due to the nature of what they contain, contractor will be required to be escorted at all times. As such, work will be limited to DURING DUTY HOURS. Duty hours for Truax Field shall be construed as 0630 – 1600 Monday thru Thursday. Occasionally, this schedule will modify to Tuesday thru Friday due to drill weekend. These schedule changes will be coordinated with the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) at the pre-construction conference. Working outside of these stated duty hours will require pre-coordination as escorts would need to be arranged (at least 5 days in advance).

Additionally, contractor will only be allowed one facility at a time. Once that facility is complete, work can begin on the other facility. Note that the Government will require a break in work of at least 2 duty days to move munitions from the 2nd igloo into the completed 1st igloo during construction due to the Government’s need to retain munitions of substantial quantities during construction.

Igloos are approximately 80’ long by 25’ wide and 14’ high each. See attached drawings at end of SOW (IG-A201 Munitions Igloo Dimensions).

This project has no options, all items specified herein shall be part of the base bid.

Below is a list of items that the 115 CES has determined can be reasonably incorporated into projects. The Base Design Guide which specifies certain materials/finishes overrides the below list. However, the CPG below shall be instituted to the greatest extent possible unless use of said materials is not advantageous to the Government in terms of cost. If contractor is claiming this exclusion, a cost analysis must be provided to the Government during construction.

Materials listed below when found in said project will be submitted to the Government to ensure the CPG are being followed. Submittal will include Post Consumer Recovered Content as well as Total Recycled Content for each material encountered.
