About this file
This document provides an amendment to a solicitation for maintenance dredging services at the Mouth of the Colorado River in Matagorda County, Texas. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office is seeking a contractor to perform maintenance dredging and advanced maintenance dredging of approximately 7.5 miles of channel. Work will include dredging from channel station 0+000 to 37+200 and varying depths of advanced maintenance and over-depth dredging. Material dredged from the entrance channel and jetty channel will be placed on the adjacent beach, while material from the main channel may be placed in an upland confined placement area requiring repairs to railings. The amendment extends the response deadline from November 11, 2019 to December 18, 2019 and increases the contractor period of performance from 210 to 322 days, with an estimated completion date of December 31, 2020. The order of work language is also revised to prohibit placement of material or debris removal on the beach placement area between March 15 and September 30 each year.
