About this file

This is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Japan District (POJ) planning document detailing projected FY2025-2026 contract opportunities, dated February 7, 2025. The document outlines numerous construction and renovation projects across mainland Japan and Okinawa that will be solicited only to local sources in Japan through full and open competition.

Key projects include: replacement of Kubasaki High School at Camp Foster (¥10-25B), construction of a Theater Aircraft Corrosion Control Hangar at Kadena Air Base (¥25-50B), multiple family housing improvement projects at Yokota Air Base, Camp Zama, and Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni ranging from ¥1-10B, and various facility repairs including the New Sanno Hotel renovation in Tokyo (¥2.5-10B), DLA fuel wharf upgrades at DFSP Tsurumi, and multiple UPH building repairs at Camp Zama. All contractors must be registered in SAM.gov and possess Japanese civil construction or architectural construction licenses verified through MLIT. Proposals must be submitted through the PIEE Solicitation Module, replacing the previous DOD SAFE system. Most projects are scheduled for FY25-26 solicitation and award, with specific timelines provided for each opportunity.
