However, as per site investigation, there are many local standard products ( Not UL approved products ) to remain and reuse, which means that the combined both Local products and UL approved products are applicable to use for this building.
In that case, there is not a point to apply UL approved products, because of Local products to remain and reuse.
Please kindly accept Local products as long as complying with performance requirement.
Conduct work in accordance with drawings and specifications.
Refer to specification 01 42 00 attachment 1 for Acceptable JIS alternatives. The offeror may submit Japanese alternatives standards not currently in the solicitation as a variance request after contract award.

Please kindly accept it.

324 Government Response to Q12
In amendment 0008 Government responded as "Pumps are Inline Centrifugal type. See amended drawing UT-M- 601 and revised specification section 23 64 26, para. 2.7."
However, per Sht. No. HS-M-601 <117/152>, Pump Schedule, for DTP-1/ DTP-2, CWP-1, " End Suction " type are indicated.
These are not " Inline " type.
Please kindly advise it.
See amended specification 23 64 26 paragraph 2.7. Revised wording to remove inline reference for centrifugal pump. Pump schedule in both UT-M-601 and HS-M-601 show correct type of pump (inline or end suction). "Inline" and "end suction" are both types of centrifugal pumps.
325 Government Response to Q68
In amendment 0008 Government responded as "Connect to existing pipe above the floor, see amended drawing HS-PD101 Drawing Notes 20 and 21."
However, HS-P-101 <127/152> , HS-P-501 <129/152> are still same as original " Underground Piping Connection to Meter Pit ".
Then, what our concern is whether the existing block valve to shut-of the water supply is there, or not.
Please kindly clarify it, otherwise the freezing the water method to shut-off shall be applied for the connection.
See amended drawing CU300. Revised drawing CU300 to indicate the water shut off valve location.

ALTERNATIVE I (APR 1984) clause and 01 01 50. Revised requirement for maintaining utilities operation during Phase 5 construction"
Is it correct understanding that these utilities are not including the dual temperature water supply ( No air-conditioning available) during phase-5 ?
Please kindly clarify it.
Refer to specification 01 01 50 paragraph 1.1.5. The utilities include the dual temperature water supply. Maintain dual temperature piping utilities for air conditioning system servicing the cafeteria and kitchen during phase 5.
328 Government Response to Q20
In amendment 0008 Government responded as "Hot Tap method is not required. It is up to the Contractor to determine the best method for removal and placement without disturbance."
However, according to our site investigation, there is no existing block valve to shut-off around there, which means that the steam supply interruption is required to replace Please kindly accept it.
Yes, there is an existing block valve. Steam pit vent was marked as #348 D-17. See new steam pit as-builts for Bldg 914, Q328_AS- BUILT_DRAWINGS.pdf. Sections of pages 3 and 9 of as-builts have been highlighted in reference to location of existing block valve.
