This document is an Amendment (0001) to a federal solicitation for the rental of a hydraulic excavator for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers St. Paul District. The amendment modifies the original solicitation by removing the cab height requirement and extends the offer submission deadline to May 8, 2025 at 10:00 AM CDT. The excavator specifications remain largely unchanged, including requirements for a minimum 270 horsepower, operating weight between 69,000-85,000 lbs, digging depth of 23-24 feet, and boom reach of 20-21 feet.
The rental period is for a base term of 3 months (12 weeks) starting no later than May 16, 2025, with options for up to four additional 1-month extensions. The excavator will be used by the Dredge Goetz Fleet, operating along the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers. Delivery requirements include EPA Tier 4 compliance, safety features like reverse alarm and rearview camera, and no more than 1,000 operating hours. The equipment will be delivered to 431 North Shore Dr. in Fountain City, WI, with the delivery and pickup coordinated through the Point of Contact, Adam Loven, Plant and Facilities Manager.
