SUBJECT: Planning for Potential Novel Coronavirus Contract Impacts
For St. Paul District Contractors:
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), St. Paul District recognizes the concerns related to the COVID-19 disease and the potential impact it could have on the work force. At this time, USACE does not anticipate any delays to contract performance, but will notify you immediately if that were to change as the situation evolves. In the meantime, it is imperative that we work collaboratively to ensure the safety of the total workforce.
As a contractor, it is your firm's responsibility to make a determination regarding the safety of your employees and subcontractors supporting the execution of your contract. In an effort to maintain the safety of all involved in the execution of St. Paul District projects, you are requested to report the following:
• Any confirmed or presumptive cases of COVID-19 for individuals that may have been involved in the execution of your contract within 24 hours after being notified of the situation . This required notification includes both contractor and associated subcontractor(s) personnel.
• Provide by position/labor category any contractor personnel who are currently working on-site that have traveled to/from areas with known COVID-19 cases, e.g. China and Italy within the last 30 days.
All notifications shall include the contract number you are reporting on, a point of contact, and sent to MVPCT@usace.army.mil (do not include any personally identifiable information (PII), only identify individuals by position/labor category).
Please acknowledge receipt of this notice in the space provided and return a copy by email within two business days to MVPCT@usace.army.mil. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your ability to meet the requirements of the contract, please contact your Contracting Officer as soon as possible to discuss the way forward.
Sincerely, Kevin P. Henricks District Contracting Chief USACE – St. Paul District
