About this file

This document is a Sources Sought notice for a potential fiscal year 2025 beach renourishment project in Bal Harbour, Miami-Dade County, Florida. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District is seeking interest and qualifications from prospective bidders, including small businesses, to perform the work.

The project will involve renourishing the shoreline between FDEP Range Monuments R-27 and R-31.5, including constructing a beach berm. Bidders must choose to either dredge material from an offshore borrow area or truck in material from an upland mine, but not both. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $5-10 million, with a 165-day period of performance if dredging is used, or 240 days if truck hauling is used. The applicable NAICS code is 237990 with a $45 million small business size standard. Responses to the Sources Sought are due by June 23, 2024 and should include company information, interest in bidding, capability to perform similar work, small business status, bonding capacity, and preference for dredging or trucking. An Invitation for Bid is anticipated to be issued on or around October 16, 2024.
