The Contracting Officer may, however, require 24 hours per day seven days per week operation depending on the amount of shoaling, or emergencies. The Contractor will be expected to work a ten premium days during each dredging season as directed by the Contracting Officer. Premium days are defined in Section 35 20 23 MECHANICAL DREDGING. Production lost due to Contractor equipment failures or breakdowns, will be regained by scheduling additional shifts or by scheduling work on days classified as Premium, without charge to Premium day allotment. Notify the Contracting Officer of the means, methods and schedule to regain lost production.

Computation sheets, which list potential dredging locations, the frequency of dredging and other statistical information, and potential dredge material placement sites, refer to the attachments provided. The river miles for these dredging locations and dredge material placement sites will be provided per Task Order awarded. These computation sheets are compiled

When both ownership and operating costs cannot be determined for any piece of equipment or groups of similar serial or series equipment from the Contractor's accounting records, base costs for that equipment upon the applicable provisions of EP 1110-1-8, Regions will be determined per Task Order. Consider working conditions to be average for determining equipment rates using the schedule unless specified otherwise by the Contracting Officer.

For equipment not included in the schedule, rates for comparable pieces of equipment may be used or a rate may be developed using the formula provided in the schedule. For forward pricing, the schedule in effect at the time of negotiations applies. For retroactive pricing, the schedule in effect at the time the work was performed applies.
