SCOPE OF WORK
Provide all materials, equipment, and labor to remove and replace two (2) wall mounted Air Conditioning/Heating Units at the USACE Red River Resident Office located at 276 Miller Road, Bossier City, Louisiana. Each new unit will be 208-230 volts, 1 Phase, 36,000 BTU (3 ton) units with 10 KW heat strips. Units shall utilize R410A refrigerant or currently approved refrigerant as per EPA regulated requirements and shall be manufactured in the USA and AHRI certified. Units will have a minimum Energy Efficiency Rating (EER) of 9.0. Units shall utilize replaceable disposable 1-inch return air filters. Each unit shall also have an adjustable barometric damper and a permanent washable filter. Compressors shall be the scroll type. A minimum five (5) year warranty shall be provided on the compressor, coil, and parts. Two (2) new digital nonprogrammable thermostats will be furnished and installed. Existing electrical wiring and circuit breakers for the units shall be checked for proper sizing and replaced as necessary to comply with National Electrical Code. Contractors are encouraged to visit the site prior to submitting an offer to ensure proposed equipment will fit existing openings with minimal retrofit. The work includes any associated electrical, mechanical, trim, and other retrofit/incidental work necessary to provide fully operational units. All work shall be performed in a skillful and workmanlike manner in accordance with manufacturer instructions, industry standards, and any applicable building codes. All equipment, materials, and articles incorporated into the work shall be new and of the most suitable grade for the intended purpose. Work shall be performed during normal work hours Monday–Friday. The building will remain occupied during installation. Contractor shall properly dispose of the old units.
Period of Performance HVAC units shall be installed within 180 days from date of award.
