About this file
This document is a technical procedure for pressure testing a Poseidon Barge. The procedure outlines a five-step process for identifying and repairing potential leaks in the barge's welded seams. Key steps include removing a corner coupling, inserting a gauge/testing fixture, mixing Dawn dish soap with water in a spray bottle, filling the barge with 4 pounds per square inch (psi) of air, and systematically spraying and inspecting every welded seam for leaks. The test requires marking all detected leaks, releasing air, repairing the leaks, cleaning the repaired areas, and then retesting until the barge can maintain 4 psi for a continuous 4-hour period. The document includes Poseidon Barge's contact information and a visual representation of a red barge with the company's logo.

Text version
Pressure testing
1. Remove a coupling located in the corner of the barge.
2. Insert a gauge/testing fixture.
3. Mix soap (Poseidon uses Dawn dish soap) with water in a weed sprayer type spray bottle.
4. Fill the barge with no more than 4psi of air.
5. Pressure test using 4psi and spraying every welded seam with soapy water. Mark out all leaks. Let the air out, and fix leaks. After leaks are fixed and properly cleaned recheck applying 4psi until leaks are fixed and the barge holds 4psi for 4 hours.
