About this file

This solicitation is for maintenance dredging of Flushing Bay and Creek in New York. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers proposes to dredge approximately 150,000 cubic yards of material to a depth of -15 feet MLLW plus 2 feet of overdepth allowable. Dredged material will be placed at a suitable upland site permitted by New York State. Bidders must provide all required permits within 35 days of notification as apparent low bidder. Work must commence within 5 days of notice to proceed and maintain a production rate of at least 2,250 cubic yards per day to minimize vessel traffic impacts. The work period is between September and November 2022 and cost is estimated between $10-25 million. This is an unrestricted procurement requiring mechanical dredging with an enclosed bucket due to state water quality permit restrictions.
