Questions and Answers #2

Stockton Lake Project

Pavement Replacement, Demolition and Installation of New Pavement and Aggregate Base

Solicitation # W912DQ25QA015

1. Is the Start day 10 days from award firm or flexible?

Answer: All this means is that 10 days after the award Contact should be made to setup a Pre-Construction meeting to discuss the process. It is not anticipated that any physical work would be conducted within the first 30 to 45 days or at least until all the submittals are approved that would allow physical work.

2. Is WAWF the only avenue/way for payment will be made to contractor?

Answer: We do not utilize WAWF for invoicing or payment processing. Instead, please submit your invoice directly to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR). Once received, it will be forwarded to the USACE Finance Center in Millington, TN for payment processing.

3. Curing Material 2.6. Is the additional additive for curing a requirement?

Answer: Yes, the cure must be white in color when initially placed and dry clear.

4. Debris from demo: Where should the debris be taken?

Answer: Debris becomes the property of the Contractor and must be disposed of in accordance with applicable local, state and federal regulations, so a local land fill or asphalt recycling center would be acceptable.

5. Submittals: Will the awarded contractor get prompted or notification when submittals are due? Will they get assistance with the required documents needing to be submitted?

Answer: Submittals that are to be submitted are located within the Contract. Status of submittals will be discussed at bi-weekly status meetings. Assistance on specification clarification will be provided.

6. Temporary Fencing: Is this something the customer will provide or the contractor?

Answer: If needed the Contractor is to provide.

7. Utilities 1.21: The Contractor is responsible for providing utilities for their employees. This must include but not limited to electric, water, and restrooms. Are there restrooms available at the site?

Answer: There is a vault toilet near the work site. Depends on the time of the year, park facilities may be closed due to work being completed in the off season.

8. Award: When or how long do we anticipate it will take for contract to be awarded?

Answer: Contract should be awarded shortly upon closing of the solicitation.

9. Change Order: Does the contractor need to include the possible cost of a change order in their bid?

Answer: No, cost change orders are not allowed without Contract modifications.
