About this file
This is a Question and Answer document for solicitation W912DQ25Q1007 regarding Underground Storage Tank (UST) removal at Stockton Lake, Stockton, MO. The document addresses two specific questions from potential contractors.
The first question clarifies environmental testing requirements, indicating that at least one environmental test is required for potentially contaminated soil, which must meet MO DNR UST specifications. No seepage has been observed, but contractors should factor potential contamination into their quotes. The second question addresses equipment access, with the response noting that the work area has 43 feet at its widest point and 36 feet at its narrowest point between buildings. An aerial satellite image is included showing the layout of the site, including the UST location, carpenter shop, maintenance shop, and pump locations. The document strongly encourages contractors to attend the site visit to assess the layout personally.

Question and Answer #1
W912DQ25Q1007
UST Removal Stockton Lake, Stockton, MO
1. QUESTION: Will there be a need for environmental services for this project in Stockton, MO?
ANSWER: See Section 1.8.2. and 1.8.4. in the scope of work. There will need to be at least one environmental test completed for any potentially contaminated soil. If the test comes back with no contaminants, then no further testing is required. The soil test will need to pass MO DNR UST specifications for acceptable levels of contaminated soil. No known seepage has been observed at the site; however it would be good for quotes to anticipate some to ensure they capture any potential expenses.
2. QUESTION: -How close can we get to the hole at each of these locations? Can you give me an approximate distance if I was to set up cranes?
ANSWER: It would depend on the size of the equipment used. The distance between the buildings is
43 feet at the widest point and 36 feet at the narrowest point. Attached is a picture of the Satellite View to give an idea of the layout of the buildings, USTs, and pump locations.
It is urged for all contractors to attend the site visit so they can visually see for themselves the layout of everything in the vicinity of the UST site.
