About this file

This amendment modifies a solicitation for construction services. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, requires construction work at Tadpole Chute on the Missouri River in Moniteau County, including a new flow control structure and adjacent bank paving. As a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside, the requirement is for one firm-fixed price award between $1 million and $5 million under NAICS Code 237990. The amendment updates the wage determination link to the current rates applicable to heavy construction in Moniteau County, Missouri. The response due date is unchanged.

SUMMARY OF CHANGES

SECTION 00 73 00 - SUPPLEMENTARY CONDITIONS

The following have been modified:

WAGE RATES

WAGE DETERMINATION

The inclusion of the Davis-Bacon Act General Wage Decision or the Service Contract Act Wage Determination in the solicitation is a statutory requirement. It is not a representation by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers that any specific work task can be performed by any specific trade. Which work tasks can be performed by what trades depends on and is determined by the prevailing area practice for the local area where the contract is being performed. It is the sole responsibility of the contractor to determine and comply with the prevailing area practice.

Inquiries regarding a prevailing area practice should be directed to the Corps of Engineers, Contractor Industrial Relations Specialist (telephone number 816-389-2247) or to the U. S. Department of Labor Regional Wage and Hour Division.

Application of wage rates and fringe benefits: For the application of the wage rates and fringe benefits contained in the Decisions of the U. S. Secretary of Labor, attached to and a part of this contract, all work is performed in Moniteau County, Missouri and is considered Heavy.
