About this file
This document contains an amendment to a solicitation for a federal contract to repaint the steel superstructure of a bridge at Kanopolis Lake.
The amendment provides updated specifications, instructions to bidders, and definitive responsibility criteria. Bidders must have experience painting steel structures using the specified USACE 3-A-Z vinyl paint system within the past ten years. Email bids are due by December 29, 2022. The low bidder must provide information to demonstrate responsibility within two business days of bid opening if not included with the bid.
The solicitation is for a firm-fixed-price contract to remove the existing lead-based paint from the bridge superstructure, bearings, handrails and other metal surfaces. The selected contractor will then clean, inspect, and repaint the structures using an approved paint system while protecting other surfaces. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers District in Kansas City is the issuing agency for this project at Kanopolis Lake.
