About this file

This document provides details for a federal construction contract opportunity. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, intends to issue a solicitation for renovations to Building 223 located at Fort Riley, Kansas, with an estimated value between $10-25 million. The requirement will use a two-phase design-build acquisition methodology and result in a firm fixed price contract. The scope of work includes whole building renovation, historic restoration aspects, and replacement of all mechanical, electrical, communications, security, and fire/life safety systems. Exterior work involves limestone repairs, repointing, concrete repairs, and foundation waterproofing. The pre-solicitation announcement does not schedule a pre-bid meeting or site visit, but details will be in the solicitation. Responses are due as outlined in the solicitation, which will be available on or around June 26, 2020 via beta.SAM.gov. The NAICS code is 236220 with a $39.5 million small business size standard, and small businesses are encouraged to consider teaming agreements. The source selection will follow FAR Part 15 and DFARS Part 215 procedures.
