About this file
This document contains an abstract of offers for a construction contract solicitation and the related federal contract opportunity notice. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Kansas City District issued a two-step sealed bid solicitation to raise approximately 90,000 feet of levee and floodwall along the Argentine, Armourdale, and Central Industrial District levee units in Kansas City, Kansas and Missouri. Efforts include raising the levees and floodwalls by four to five feet and modifying associated structures. Five firms submitted bids between $257 million and $478 million to complete the work. The solicitation allows for discussions between Step One technical proposals and Step Two sealed price bids. Only firms submitting acceptable Step One technical proposals may participate in Step Two. Interested contractors must register in SAM and have the capacity to bond a $300 million construction project. The point of contact is Jay Denker at the Army Corps of Engineers Kansas City District.
