Solicitation Questions and Answers

Q1: What are the payment terms (How do we submit and frequency of pay)?

A1: Invoices will be submitted with an payment of NET 30.

Q2: Is there any way to separate the hauling from the material for payment? (The trucking company takes care of their own billing and payment received and the Quarry takes care of billing and receipt of payment on our own?)

A2: No. As stated in the solicitation, the unit price needs to include the cost of the rock with delivery and the billing will come from one company.

Q3: How many tons an Hour/Day? The scope of work says 7500 tons a day per site (3 sites). Will all 3 sites be going at same time/day?

A3: The contract requires that the rock supply contractor (W912DQ19R1065 contractor) to have the capacity to support all three sites simultaneously.

Q4: Who will be maintaining the haul road going into the site?

A4: The construction contractor (W912DQ19B1013 contractor) is required to maintain access to the delivery point.

Q5: Do we need to have a Bid Bond?

A4: No, as this is a supply purchase

The amount of dirt and fines with a less than 1/2 inch maximum cross section, and accumulated from inter-ledge layers, blasting, handling procedures, and/or all other sources, shall not exceed 15 percent by weight.”

Q6: Are there any other material needs aside from the Shot Rock?

A6: No, Shot Rock is the only requirement

Q7: How many working days would we be looking at?

A7: Approximately 25 days depending on actual delivery capability

Q8: Does the quote have to come from a quarry?

A8: No. the only requirement for who the quote can come from is that they must be registered in SAM as a Small

Business for the NAICS 212311, Dimension Stone Mining and Quarrying.

Q9: Is there a map with the delivery locations pinned?

A9: Not at this time. This is in conjunction with another requirement to place the stone. The second requirement is for a contractor to create a work pad and access road. The specific locations will be provided to the awarded rock contractor once the exact locations are set and before delivery begins. The below locations provided in the solicitation are the general location for planning:
