WEST SECTION
1. DISCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Mowing and trimming service procurement utilized by the Pomme de Terre Lake Project, Kansas City District, Corps of Engineers, encompasses the mowing of roadsides, and developed areas such as campgrounds, shoreline, beaches, and picnic areas, etc. This procurement includes varying amount of cutting by hand where obstructions, rocks, stumps, or steepness prevent access by machinery. Trimming around signs, campsites, buildings, trees, and park equipment will be required. Extensive trimming is required due to the layout of campsites and facilities. The contractor shall provide all supervision, personnel, equipment, tools, and other items and services necessary to ensure that mowing and trimming is performed in public use areas at Pomme de Terre Lake, Hermitage, Missouri in a manner that will maintain healthy grass and trees, and present a well-cared for, neat, evenly mowed (free from any un-mowed strips or streaks) and professional appearance.
2. POST-AWARD CONFERENCE: After award, but prior to commencement of work, the Contractor shall contact the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) to arrange a mutually agreeable time to meet at the Project Office for the purpose of discussing and developing a mutual understanding of the requirements and details of the work.
3. ORDERING OF SERVICES:
3.1. Mowing and trimming shall be scheduled by individual orders issued by telephone and followed by confirmation in writing from the COR to the Contractor. Orders shall be placed a minimum of 48 hours before date specified in the order. Telephone order will be considered issued at such time as it is delivered to the telephone number provided by the Contractor. The time allowed to complete the required services shall begin on the scheduled date of the order.
3.2. The Government reserves the right to order any single item individually, or any combination of items per order, up to and including all items. The Government reserves the right to designate the order (sequence) in which orders shall be completed.
3.3. In the event adverse weather or ground conditions occur after placement of an order for services that would create unsafe working conditions or result in damage to vegetation or turf, the Contractor shall cease operations and contact the COR. Work affected by adverse conditions shall be stopped, re-started, or reschedule at a mutually agreed upon time, to the extent possible.
Payment will not be made for work not performed as a result of wet weather conditions unless an alternate date for services can be arranged and services performed.
