QUESTIONS FOR INDUSTRY

1. The current proposed duration is 48 months from NTP to BOD. Do you believe this duration is adequate? If not, what duration would you propose?

2. The volume of information & data exchanged during design after award and construction will be enormous. What design/construction management tools do you suggest we consider and why?

3. How important is the use of 3D modeling to your success during design after award and construction? How will 3D modeling interface with the design/construction management tool you proposed in response to question 2 above?

4. Do you have any concerns regarding the availability of qualified tradesmen or building materials? If yes, how do you plan to address these risks?

5. The Government has identified adjacent sites that can accommodate 500 +/- temporary parking stalls for all work, e.g. DB + SB Set-Aside. Is this number sufficient? If not, what is an optimal number?

6. The RFP will include multiple options for medical systems and equipment funded by other appropriations, i.e. non-MILCON. These items will be limited to systems and equipment that will be permanently installed. Most are technologically sophisticated and are subject to constantly changing operational and technology requirements. These options will be executed months to years following contract award, so the likelihood that the requirements will change is high. How would you suggest that the Government address schedule and pricing risk?

7. Are there other significant risks that you anticipate? What can we do to help mitigate those risks?
