About this file
This document provides specifications for a beach nourishment project in Oakwood Beach, New Jersey. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District is soliciting bids for the W912BU23B0013 contract to place sand along the beach to reduce coastal erosion.
The specifications require the contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and supervision to complete beach nourishment. This includes mobilizing and demobilizing equipment, placing approximately 120,000 cubic yards of sand along the beach, grading and compacting the sand to final design templates. The contractor must also provide temporary facilities like fencing, signs and portable toilets during construction. The specifications establish submittal requirements, performance standards, and restoration obligations for any areas impacted by staging or storage. Bids for this contract are due on August 18, 2023, and the contractor must complete all work by the schedule defined in their project plan.
