Answers to Questions Received During Solicitation Period:

1. Question - Spec section C340 states the padeyes are to be removable via a bolted connection to the barge structure. Is it intended to have a flush deck or is it ok to have a welded structure on the main deck that the padeyes can be bolted too?

Answer – The main deck shall be flush after the removal of the padeyes.

2. With regards to testing and demonstrations, will Conrad be required to ballast the barge to 1,100,000 lbs and lift it or will this be done once the vessel is delivered to Iowa?

Performing the lift was not mentioned in the testing section.

Answer - Ballasting the barge during test and trials is not required by this contract. A load test of the crane will not be performed as a final demonstration under this contract.

3. Will the Corps require continuous welding on all internal structure considering the barge will be used as a test tank?
