BLUE MARSH LAKE PORTABLE TOILET RFI QUESTION / RESPONSE
W912BU‐19‐R‐0010
Question Response
1. Based on the month by month distribution of STD and ADA units, we count 120 STD units over 12 months, and 66 ADA units over 12 months.
We see that there are an additional 6 units required in April. We also see seasonal fluctuation in overall numbers too.
We are confused with some counts we were presented with: The Attachment with request for pricing states that there are 105 permanent units that need to be priced including cleaning fee….can you explain how that number was calculated?
Based on spreadsheet created, I calculate 72 Standard units and 39 accessible units. See spreadsheet provided.
2. Please list frequency and type of vandalism that has been reported in past years?
Most vandalism involves tip overs and occurs relatively infrequently. There have been 3‐4 tip overs at the Church Rd. Access area this past year which has been a new occurrence.
3. Are we able to drive stakes into dirt/asphalt/pavement to secure tip overs and provide reasonable defense against theft and high wind weather? Driving stakes into ground will secure the base/skid of each portable unit.
Theft has not been an issue at this location.
Stakes can be driven into soil surfaces where feasible. However, penetrating asphalt surfaces with stakes will not be permitted.
4. Who is incumbent provider on current contract?
Transaxle Logistics, LLC. Lawrenceville, Ga.
5. What is value of 2018 contract in a dollar amount?
As we calculate totals. Please advise if the contract totals should or should not include the:
1) 3x per year vault latrine servicing and the 2) Emergency callout/standby price?
$15,510.00
Contract Totals should include vault latrine cleanout on the second Monday of May, July, and October for State Hill Boat Ramp. This is a fixed occurrence not to be confused with emergency services.
Current contract does not does not state a maximum number of portable toilets, or style, to be delivered for emergency service needs. It also does not account for method of payment for emergency pump out needs at sewage lift stations. Suggest bidder provides fixed price for the following emergency needs:
