Amendment #0003:

The Government has received the following question concerning the solicitation and provides the following answer to this question:

1.) Reference spec item #23 AC Electrical: This item calls for a 20-breaker AC distribution panel. Confirm that you want breakers installed for all 20 circuits.

Answer to #1 - The sponsor has reviewed, and has determined that a 28 breaker AC distribution panel should be installed in lieu of the 20 breaker panel defined in the specifications. 28 breakers shall be installed in the panel. Those not used will be left as spares.

2.) Reference spec item #24 Batteries & AC Charger: This item calls for three (3) separate battery chargers. Will one (1) 3-bank battery charger be acceptable to you in place of three (3) individual battery chargers?

Answer to #2 - Three separate chargers are required. This allows for redundancy, and for simplicity, in troubleshooting, and replacement.

3.) Reference spec item #33 Survey Station: There appears to be a discrepancy between the specs and the drawing provided in that the drawing indicates the survey station at the port helm console with a seat behind it. Aft of this seat there is what appears to be a survey desk with a surveyor's seat aft of that against the aft bulkhead. Also, on the starboard side, aft of the operator's seat, it appears that that is the requested fold-down chart table. Kindly advise that the surveyor's station that is required shall include a surveyor's desk on the port side and the surveyor's seat aft of that desk, as well as a companion seat on the port side forward in line with the operator's seat. Also advise if the operator's seat and the companion seat, if required, should be shock mitigating seats.

Answer to #3 - The surveyor seat (port side) is parallel with the operator. The seats must be positioned adequately aft to allow for the survey desk area to be ahead of the surveyor seat. The aft seat is for a guest. The chart table behind the operator will be drop down. The other will be fixed. All seats should be shock mitigating.

4.) Reference spec item #36 Navigation, Communication & Outfitting: This item calls for a GPS/chart plotter/depthsounder with recessed bronze transducer. It also calls for a NavNet radar. We will propose a complete NavNet system which includes radar, GPS/chart plotter and depthsounder. Kindly advise if this proposed item is acceptable and whether you prefer a 16 or 24NM radar with radome or would you prefer an open wave guide with the 24NM radar.

Answer #4 - The proposed item would be acceptable with a 24NM radar with radome.
