Queson and Answers:

1. Confirming that the Contractor will not need to clean Tank 737 nor re-clean the based on PWS Secon 5.1.2? The installaon will clean the tank.

2. Atachment B states fuel remining to be N/A in four out of five tanks, with zero listed in the other. PWS

1.5.8.1 states “the contractor is not authorized to remove/transfer or dispose of more fuel than what is stated in the contract per Atachment B.” Looking for clarificaon, are these tanks already empty and verified safe for entry? It is not acceptable to submit aer the proposals are due because we wouldn’t be able to verify the following:

Seals must be manufactured in the United States and must be provided in minimum connuous lengths of 8.54 meter 28 feet with no factory splices. Seals must be compable with avgas, fuel oil, gasoline/ethanol, gasoline/MTBE 80/20, gasoline (unleaded), aviaon turbine fuels, kerosene, and sea water. Material must be compliant with UFGS 33 56 21.17.

Further, Secon 5.1.2 states the tank cleanliness and internal atmosphere shall be verified in accordance with UFGS 33 01 50.55 prior to entry. Looking for clarificaon, is the installaon verifying cleanliness and internal atmosphere in accordance with UFGS 33 01 50.55 or is this the contractor's responsibility? Tank cleaning will be conducted by the installaon. It is the KTRs responsibility to ensure the tank is safe for entry by monitoring and connuing to monitor the space when staff is inside the tank. The Installaon is emptying and cleaning the tank.
