About this file

This document contains an amendment to a solicitation and the related federal contract opportunity. The amendment modifies the solicitation for concrete repairs to the powerhouse bridge at Gavins Point Dam in Nebraska. It provides details on allowing drilling into the concrete structure to attach scaffolding, with confirmation of locations required via ground penetrating radar scans. It also allows for removal and replacement of the existing handrail and fence to accommodate under-deck repairs, contingent on submitting and obtaining approval for plans regarding fall protection and barriers during removal. The pre-solicitation opportunity is for highway, street and bridge construction services with an estimated value under $40 million. The site visit was on March 24th and bids are due by April 18th, 2022. The work includes concrete repairs, resurfacing an abutment wall, sealing structures, and maintaining joints over a 365-day period. The solicitation and any amendments are available through SAM.gov using the provided number. The point of contact for questions is named and contact information is given. Performance will be at the dam location.
