1. When submitting a bid do we include all 1449 continuation sheets as well as the Pricing Schedule?
1449 continuation would be pages 3 and 4 in the solicitation.
The continuation sheets should be completed and submitted for clarity, continuity and completeness.
Also ensure that the pricing schedule is completed.
2. Is it possible to get the width of the required spraying for each area?
No, each sandbar is of a different size and are constantly changing due to river flow. Amount of acres to be sprayed each year is determined by Corps staff during summer months and are given to the contractor prior to initiation of spraying.
3. Are generic herbicides and surfactants acceptable?
Generics are fine as long as they are equivalent to the original formulations of glyphosate as found in the trade name Rodeo, and of imazapyr as found in the trade name Habitat.
4. What month(s) is the application to be completed?
The Period of Performance for spraying operations will be determined by individual Task Orders, but will generally occur between late August and early October each year.
5. I understand the maximum per year is 3,000 acres, is there a given minimum per task order?
There is no given minimum per task order. Amount of acres to be sprayed each year is determined by
Corps staff prior to initiation of spraying. A map and shape file delineating spray sites/acres will be provided to the contractor prior to performing work. In some years spraying may not occur if the river stage is too high.
