SCOPE OF WORK

12 February 2009

SCOPE OF WORK

FOR

INDEFINITE DELIVERY/INDEFINITE QUANTITY SERVICES CONTRACT

FOR

MUNITIONS & EXPLOSIVES OF CONCERN (MEC) RESPONSE ACTIONS,

FORMER WAIKOLOA MANEUVER AREA (WMA) AND

HONOLULU DISTRICT (POH) AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (AOR)

U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS, HONOLULU DISTRICT

1. LOCATION.

1.1 Under this contract, the project areas may include, but not limited to, the Area of Responsibility (AOR) of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Honolulu Engineer District (POH) at various Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS) throughout the Hawaiian Islands, predominantly at the Former Waikoloa Maneuver Area.

1.2 In the Waikoloa Maneuver Area, the services under this IDIQ (SB) shall include Military Range Areas (MRAs), as follows:

- Sector 15 & Areas A,G,H, K, and F.

- Sector 16 & Areas B, N and O

- Sector 17 & Areas D, J, Q, and R

Note: For a task order requirement including property within more than one MRA, involving both 8(a) IDIQ and the small business IDIQ MRA’s, the task order requirement will be issued under the IDIQ contract requiring the most acres to be serviced, unless the Contracting Officer determines and documents otherwise.

1.3 Other areas in the Hawaiian Islands. The exact locations of specific projects will be designated under each Task Order (T.O) Scope of Work (SOW). The sites will consist primarily of FUDS areas that have undergone site investigations and recommended for MEC removal. Since there will be two concurrent IDIQ contracts providing the same service within POH AOR, POH will take into consideration the complexity of the terrain, the size of the requirement, and the existing capacity of each IDIQ before issuing new T.O requirements outside of the former

WMA.

2. OBJECTIVE AND PURPOSE.

2.1 The Contractor shall perform MEC response actions as necessary to permit environmental resources such as lands and waters potentially affected by MEC to be safely and efficiently used for their intended purpose.
